Morgan Wells is a multidisciplinary artist who uses a never-ending list of materials that create a unique combination of different artistic ideologies. Wells works with sculpture, drawing, painting, and photography, which investigate different ideas of space, and objects that inhabit them. Wells reveals the notion that space can be objectified, and how objects can be thought of as space. With a distinct sense of humor, his artworks are built around monumental installations that act as both a constructed space, and as a singular object. These installations are comprised of smaller, yet equally important pieces, and exist as a material and as a separate works. His interest is in public space, private space, personal space, and how they are separated from one another. These spaces include parks, homes, nature, architecture, the universe, the human body, and the mind. He pays close attention to the infinite amount of objects that occupy these spaces, and how objects define a site.
